What a lovely question! I have given this much thought lately, your ask is rather timely.

At my age, it’s becoming increasingly easy to just sit about and think back upon my years. Often enough, what you ask of comes to mind. I wonder what would have happened if I had taken a different direction with things. I’ve had my share of mistakes and embarrassments, of course. However, when I think about what wouldn’t have taken place as a result, I realise that sometimes it’s best to be thankful for where you are and what you have.

So, while it is very much fascinating to ponder about these things, these possible worlds and futures, I try not to get too deeply into them. There will never be enough pain to overcome the euphoria I have experienced through watching this world come to be.

In short, I am happy with how far things have come. I am happy with my work. Most importantly, I feel I am happy with myself.

(Goodness, excuse me, I could have answered you with just a little ‘Yes sometimes I do stare at stars and think’ but I seem to have gone on a little ramble!)

I’ve been getting a few questions in regards to humanity in light of recent events in Boston.

I created the stepping stones for life. Everything else— the Pokemon, the people, the trees, the rivers, the stones— all came about as a result. I had no hand in “stupid” people.

Everyone inevitably makes bad decisions in their life. Sometimes people make decisions that hurt others.

This, I believe, does not mean that people are bad. I believe people as a whole are good. History is riddled with mistakes and pain. However, when you see the horrible news, when you see the gruesome coverage of the suffering and destruction, there are ALWAYS more people helping. One person may have set a bomb, but there are hundreds who rush to help.

People do not run away from others in need. I don’t think thats very stupid at all.

Good things come to those who wait.

A: Well, actually, I sleep differently. I’m awake for several weeks at a time, sometimes even a month, and then I sleep for one or two days. Getting to be that time again… Otherwise, I suppose I like mornings! I like how every day begins, whether it’s summer sunrises or autumn fog.

Hello, Arceus! I tried out the recipe to your Cheri Berry poffins the other day. They turned out delicious, and I would definitely make them again -- perhaps I'll even sneak in my own additions! But I noticed that my poffins ended up quite large, too. How many pieces was one batch of dough originally intended to make?

Poffins should be whatever size you want, but they’re normally a little bigger than the palm of your hand.

Or was it an Ursaring paw…? Paw… palm…? Oh well.

It’s been a very long time since I posted anything worthwhile. I wish I could start over… but instead, I’ll just reintroduce myself and my family.

I am Arceus. Many Pokemon— even humans— regard me as “The God of Pokemon”. That title is a little too glorified for me. Just call me Arceus and be friendly about it.

Way back when there was nothing, really, really nothing but me and my imagination for company, I decided to do something about the vast loneliness. I created a family to govern existence.

This is Palkia. He hatched the same time as his brother, Dialga. Palkia controls space; the expansion of space, stars, planets, all existing matter and anti-matter and vice versa. It’s quite impressive. He’s also very fond of water.

This is Dialga. He hatched the same time as Palkia. Speaking of time, that’s Dialga’s specialty. Without Dialga, time would not pass. Every moment would exist at the same time, and it takes a very special being to travel between these moments. Thanks to Dialga, everyone can experience the ticking of time as seconds go by.

These three little michief-makers are responsible for sentient life. Plants live, but they do not think or ponder. They do not feel joy or passion. They do not choose the direction their roots grow.
The sleepy yellow one is Uxie, the Being of Knowledge. Thanks to Uxie, you may feel that burning curiosity. The sassy pink one is Mesprit, The Being of Emotion. Have you ever started laughing and couldn’t stop? You owe your outbursts to Mesprit. The bossy blue one is Azelf, the Being of Willpower. Left or right? Today or tomorrow? When and where? You can make these conscious decisions thanks to Azelf.

All together… my busy little family set up the building blocks of life as you know it. Give some thanks now and then.

What? Speak up. Third son…? Girat—…. nope. Another story for another time.

When you’re a diety that has existed for eons, one tends to collect clutter and lose track of time.

On top of that It seems I’ve had some trouble with my computer. Palkia’s been mindlessly practicing Aqua Tail shouting things along the lines of “MY SECONDARY TYPING GOES VASTLY UNAPPRECIATED” and all that frustration has sloshed water over the entire place.

For my unfortunate computer… it was super effective.

I do have a small notepad. I suppose I could draw some things here and there.

p.s. askbox and submit are locked until further notice. I have ridiculous backlog it seems.

I have a secret for frosting.

Whisk together 1 cup of milk with 5 tablespoons of flour and boil it over a stove until the mixture is thick. Whisk it again. Then wait for it to cool completely! After it’s cool, stir in one tablespoon of Vanillish extract. Don’t eat it. It’ll be gross.

In a separate bowl, whip one cup of sugar with one cup of soft butter. It should be thick and fluffy like Altaria down.

Add your vanilla mixture into the sugar/butter mixture and whip it until it looks like fresh whipped cream. 45 seconds of beating on high should do the trick!

Voila! You have a thick, buttery frosting with a lovely silky texture. It’s my favorite for frosting cakes. Good luck!

Really? Thank you very much, dearest anonymous! I am sure that I am not known for my art, however…

I suppose most will expect me to be a grand master at art even if it has been my first time picking up a crayon. I believe that art isn’t something you’re just born doing. It’s a muscle that you have to keep on stimulating and working with. The more you stimulate it, and most importantly, the more you challenge it, the stronger it will get! It’s just not something you can cheat through.

So maybe I’m not the best right now, but I can only get better.

The lessons Magikarp has to offer us are invaluable. There are numerous Gyarados in the wild as well as in the company of trainers. There’s nothing “useless” or weak about a Magikarp that enforces its own determination to evolve. Magikarp have been known to swim upstream for weeks, strengthening themselves no matter how many times they’re beaten back by the current.

They’re literally equipped with the most basic abilities and statistics and still, most Magikarp exceed the expectations made at face value, evolving into mighty beasts with awesome raw power.

Also… I may have goofed up a little in assigning Magikarp’s evolutionary line…

What’s done is done, though. I can’t go back now. Either way, the little fish that could doesn’t seem to mind.
